TT 7: Infographics

An infographic is a visual chart, diagram, web that can be used to share information, data, or findings. It is something I would definitely use in my classroom. I think they could be very useful, and you could use them to add some creativity and fun into an assignment. For example instead of having students just write a report on being healthy and how to excercie, you could have them make an inforgaphic like this one.

Anatomy Of A Champion - Infographic design

I decided to stick with the physical education theme for my infographic, and I created one for a healthy lifestyles unit. I would use this infographic during my lesson on Canada's Food Guide and I used piktochart to make it.

  1. Tim, I like your idea of instead of a report they create one of these. Personally, I think that the first one may have too much information on it for me. Yours is more visually pleasing because there is not one hundred sentences grabbing my attention from the facts and visuals.

  2. What a great, and unique way to have students display their learning. It gets all the information out there without forcing your students to ramble on about boring useless things. As a teacher I imagine that assessing 25 infographics vs 25 6 page reports would be much better.
